Art has gone through a lot of changes since the industrial revolution. Since then, one of the main debates in art revolves around the very definition of “art” in respect to the emergence of new technologies and techniques in image production and multisensorial communication.

From a local perspective, artists are still finding their position within the regional market, and are also trying to find proper studios and workplaces for themselves. The area explored in this tour is an example of an environment that has the potential of becoming an art school that brings the faculty of thought together with the places of work and labor  that already exist in the area.

لقد أثرت الثورة الصناعية على أشكال الفن المعاصر مما أثر بشكل جلي على معنى الفن ظل التطور السريع في التكنولوجيا وتقنيات الفنون البصرية، وقنوات التواصل. هناك عاملان آخران مؤثران على معنى الفن وهما الإنتاج المصنعي أو الشامل، واعتبار الإنتاج الفني سلعة للتداول في السوق، مما جعل الفن يتجه إلى محاكاة الواقع بشكل دقيق أو إعادة ترتيب قطع مجموعة. لهذا السبب أصبح أغلب الإنتاج الفني متجهًا نحو السياسة أو خاضعًا لطلب السوق. إن المنطقة التي ستقام بها هذه الجولة هي مناخ مناسب تحتوي على ما يلزم من عناصر لقيام مدرسة للفنون، حيث تجمع مساحات صالحة للتبادل الفكري، ومساحات أخرى للعمل اليدوي والتجربة الملموسة.
